Overview Ophelia Blacke Academy for the Gifted, built in the ruins of the extinct town of Old Evanston, has long been an esteemed boarding school. Not only does it do an exemplary job of teaching regular high school level classes, but it also teaches students to be able to better use their powers. Cliques are not a major problem, but they do exist. The building itself is gorgeous and old, surrounded by ancient forest. Overall, Ophelia Blacke is an outstanding school. However, recent events have made it take a turn for the worse. The rumors about people disappearing into the forest at night, never to return, are slowly proving true. To make it worse, the forest is too dense and vast to find the bodies in a timely manner once they disappear. The students have been catching wind of rumors about the things that go bump in the night. Most of the few staff members who have heard it believe that it may be true. The only staff member who doesn't believe in it is the Headmaster. As he says, "Vampires, werewolves, and demons are a myth. It cannot be them who plague the forest and attack our students."
