Full Name: Demian Solomon Barret
Preferred Name/Nickname: Demi, although it is a girl's name.
Gender: Male
Power: Empathy
Grade: Sophmore
Age: 15
Species: Human
Dorm Room Number: 807
Brief Personality Overview:
"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."
~ Galileo Galilei
Likewise are Demi's opinions. Not only does he believe that intelligence is vital, but he also thinks that people without it are lost causes. In this way, he comes off as 'snooty', especially since he is incredibly smart and looks down on anyone less intelligent than him. Because of his pursuit for knowledge, he reads quite a lot and can more often be found with a book than with an actual person. His friends are few and far between; he is not very social. If one were to attempt to strike up a random conversation with him, more likely than not, he or she would not succeed. Demi places no importance on any kind of sport or physical activity, but he has a true young man's metabolism. Often he percieves atheletes as their stereotype portrays them: dumb, rude, and ignorant.
However, if one is lucky enough to get to know him, he or she will find that Demi is not a total anti-social freak. He enjoys being around certain people and, despite being conservative toward others, he can be a friend none-the-less.
Brief Bio: Since a very early age, Demi has been exhibiting signs of advanced intelligence. He learned to read before many people his age had learned to talk. Demi was even able to play the violin and guitar with a fair amount of ease. Both of his parents posessed some sort of power, so it was only expected that he did the same. At first, they thought his intelligence was his power, but he developed empathy. There were no nearby elementary or middle schools for the gifted; therefore he attended a regular school until he was old enough to attend Ophelia Blacke Academy. When that day came, he nervously walked up the cold steps of the school, dreading his initiation into the social scene. He had lived in the same small Virginia town for his entire life, so making friends was not a problem. He knew everyone, and everyone knew him. After showing an advanced ability for regular schoolwork, he was bumped up to all honors classes for main subjects except for science, which had never been his forte. Despite his inital fears, he met many friends in these classes, namely the 'nerds'.

Demi is a semi-short teenager, at a slight five feet and five inches. His hair color changes bi-monthly, but is never an unnatural color. At this current moment, it is brown with blonde highlights. Despite what one would assume about him from his personality, Demi cares very much about his appearance.
Car: Not old enough.
Schedule:
Honors Trigonometry
Anatomy
Honors Geography
Honors English II
Jornalism
Spanish II
Non-Physical Powers II
Graphic Design
Other: Demi enjoys most soft-core rock, including but not limited to some pop and punk rock. His favorite books are anything but the classics and science fiction; he can't stand them. He doesn't watch a lot of television, including movies.
((Can he be newspaper editor?))
